A rubber blanket cylinder transfers the inked image from the printing plate to paper, producing high-quality prints with stable color.

HOW DOES AN OFFSET PRINTING MACHINE WORK?

The sheetfed offset press feeds individual sheets through a vacuum system, where ink and dampening rollers apply the image.
After transfer via the impression cylinder, the sheets are dried through IR or UV systems, ensuring fast and clean production.

Akiyama's proprietary system enables the simultaneous,automatic,tool-free plate change over in all units through the layout of plates and cylinders in the same positional phase.
Remote ink Roller Wash-up System

Upon color change for each unit,all tasks are performed automatically via commands from the touch panel in the delivery section.This covers everything from the spraying of cleaning solvent onto the inking rollers and cleaning of rollers to there covery of cleaning solvent by the remote ink-ductoring system.
Plate-Cocking System

Among the tasks of registration adjustment,image straightening has historically required the most experience,instinct,time and labor. But with the Bestech series such tasks are no longer done separately for individual units. Settings can be changed via input from the operation stand for dramatically enhanced productivity.

The Bestech system employs a cylinder configuration based on single-sized plate/blanket cylinders of standard diameter,a common impression cylinder of triple-size diameter,and transfer cylinders of quadruple-size diameter. This provides outstanding print ability on stock ranging from thin paper to board.Since the second color is printed after the first color is complete, no printing problems or defects occur between cylinders.
The Bestech series models use a minimum of cylinders, thus minimizing the number of transfers(just two times during a four-color printing process)for extremely accurate registration.
Impression cylinders and transfer cylinders with a large radius of curvature allow the Printing paper to contact the entire cylinder surface without unwanted stress.Sheet transfer is flat and smooth.
